Today, we’re excited to share the news that Zengo wallet is acquiring Minke.
Since launching in 2022, Minke has always aimed to be the easiest stablecoin and mobile crypto wallet for mainstream users. With easy key backup and recovery, gasless stablecoin sending and low-cost chain support – users across the globe are using Minke to invest in cryptocurrencies, save in stablecoins, and send stablecoins abroad.
Zengo is the perfect partner to take the reins on our mission. Founded in 2018, Zengo is the world’s leading self-custodial wallet with no seed phrase vulnerability. With over 1 million customers, Zengo wallets are known for their unparalleled security: Zero wallets have been phished or drained since the company was founded. Leveraging MPC (multi-party-computation) instead of a seed phrase, Zengo is pushing secure self-custody forward with Zengo Pro and its advanced inheritance-syle feature, Theft Protection, and more. Zengo is the future of secure self-custody, and we’re delighted to be joining forces with them. .
Over the next couple of months we’ll be winding down operations at Minke and delisting our wallet from app stores. Minke users will have an optional migration path to move their Polygon and Ethereum assets to Zengo wallet. In order to retain easy access to your assets, please migrate your assets as soon as possible.
We’ve included a guide in our docs on how you can migrate your assets to Zengo.
In the meantime you can download Zengo’s wallet here.
On behalf of the entire Minke team, thank you for your support, loyalty and most importantly for adopting crypto.
